The class was really good. Discussed innovation issues from many perspectives: manufacturing, technology, etc. Was glad to hear that many ideas, such as how you can do tech forecasting, are based on using applied scientific method. In other words, there is really no mystery to any of this–anyone can do it. You just have to have the motivation and the support to do it.

This week seemed especially long and grueling capitalized of course by the fact that it was about 8000 degrees outside–give or take a degree. The ladies seemed to take it all in stride though, so they were ok.

The ladies spent the day at daycare today and they probably wished they stayed home in the cool of the air-conditioning. They were really hot when I picked them up and were happy to get home. Of course, Sophie got a special greeting, but now they seem to be calming.

We had a good 4th of July. The neighbors from our mew got together and celebrated by sharing food and drink on a beautiful summer night. Earlier in the day, Matt and some of his friends had gone to the Nationals game. The Nationals lost but it sounded like the group had fun.

We had another beautiful day yesterday; bright sunshine, cool breeze, low humidity. Why can’t summer be like that all the time? Ah, the constant yearning for the unattainable!

Another busy day today keeping up with all the craziness. The day was bright and a cool, dry 83 degrees. The ladies even had it in them to play energetically tonight at the dog park.
